There is a very specific type of stress that only happens about three days before a camping trip. It usually involves a plastic storage bin, a half-melted spatula you forgot to wash properly last summer, and a frantic search for the tin opener.

We’ve all been there. You spend hours "organising" the kitchen kit, only to realise halfway through your first night in the Highlands that you’ve brought three types of salt but absolutely no way to boil water for a brew. It’s the "camping kitchen faff," and quite frankly, it’s the bit that makes people decide they’d rather just stay at a Premier Inn.

At The Cosy Canvas Co., we think the best part of camping is the bit where you’re sitting outside, bowl in hand, watching the light change over a loch. The bit where you’re actually there. So, we decided to take the "faff" out of the equation entirely.

When you book our Full Comfort Bundle, you aren't just getting a bed; you’re getting a ready-to-go outdoor kitchen that’s already been thought out, packed, and set up for you.

Here’s a look at what’s waiting for you inside the pack, and why we think simple is always better.

What’s actually in the box? (The "No-Faff" Kit)

We aren't trying to turn you into a Michelin-star chef in the middle of a glen. That’s too much work. Our Camp Kitchen Pack is designed for the essentials: the stuff that makes a hot meal and a proper cup of tea happen without the headache.

Inside the pack, you’ll find:

Everything is clean, checked, and ready to use the moment you unzip the tent. No digging through bins, no realising you forgot the matches. We even include the gas.

The logic behind the "done-for-you" kitchen

You might be wondering why we don't just let people bring their own gear. The truth is, we want you to be able to fit your entire holiday into a standard car boot without doing "Car Tetris."

By providing the Full Comfort Bundle, we take away the bulk. You don't need the roof box. You don't need to spend the night before your trip scrubbing old grease off a portable grill. You just pack your clothes, grab some groceries, and drive.

When you arrive at one of our partner campsites or your chosen location, the kitchen is already there. The table is up. The mugs are waiting. You can have a tea in your hand within ten minutes of arriving. That’s the "done-for-you" difference.

Simple meals, big views

One of the biggest mistakes people make when camping is trying to cook exactly like they do at home. Four burners, an oven, and a microwave make a Sunday roast easy. Trying to do that on a single-burner stove in a breeze is a recipe for a tantrum.

We’re big fans of the "one-pot wonder." When you’ve got a view like the ones we find in Scotland, you don't want to be staring at a frying pan for two hours. You want something that bubbles away while you watch the sunset.

Here are three of our favourite "non-chef" meals that work perfectly with our kitchen pack:

1. The Scottish Sausage & Potato Hash

This is the ultimate kid-friendly, one-pot dinner. Grab some decent sausages (veggie ones work just as well), some tinned potatoes (trust us on the tinned ones for camping: they're pre-cooked and fast!), and a tin of beans. Fry the sausages, chuck in the potatoes to brown them off, then add the beans. It’s warm, it’s filling, and it only uses one pan to wash up.

2. Cheat’s Curry

Buy those pouches of pre-made curry and a pack of pre-cooked microwave rice (you can heat it in the pan with a splash of water). It takes five minutes, tastes amazing in the cold air, and feels like a luxury meal when you’re miles from the nearest takeaway.

3. The "Loch-Side" Bacon Roll

Is it even a camping trip if you don't have a bacon roll for breakfast? There is something about the smell of bacon wafting out of a bell tent that just feels right. Pair it with a steaming mug of tea and you’re ready for a day of exploring.

What about the weather?

We know what you’re thinking: "This sounds lovely, Penny, but this is Scotland. What if it’s chucking it down?"

We’ve got you covered. The Full Comfort Bundle also includes our Outdoor Comfort Pack, which features a sturdy awning. This creates a sheltered porch area right outside your tent door. It means you can keep the stove going and the tea flowing even if the Highland mist decides to turn into a proper downpour.

There’s actually something incredibly "cosy" (it’s in our name for a reason!) about sitting under the awning, hearing the rain drum on the canvas, and nursing a warm bowl of pasta. It’s part of the experience.

Ready to switch off?

The whole point of what we do at The Cosy Canvas Co. is to lower the barrier to getting outside. We want the "I’d love to go camping, but…" to disappear.

Whether you’re planning a romantic weekend away or a kids' birthday party that they’ll actually remember, we’re here to make sure the only thing you have to worry about is which view you want to wake up to.

If you’re ready to trade the plastic storage bins for a proper Highland escape, check our availability here. We’re a small team with a limited number of tents, so we give every setup our full attention: which means we do tend to book up fast for the summer months!

See you by the campfire (or the stove),

The Cosy Canvas Co. Team
